Canadian C-Spine Rule

Use only for alert, stable patients age 16 or older with blunt head/neck trauma where cervical spine injury is a concern.
Do not use CCR if any apply
Step 1 โ€” High risk: any mandates imaging
Step 2 โ€” Low risk: any allows rotation assessment
If high-risk factor present, image. If no high-risk factors and no low-risk factors, image. If low-risk factor present, assess active 45 degree rotation left and right; inability to rotate requires imaging.

Cannot proceed to rotation test.
